FAQ about our mindfulness, affirmation and yoga retreats

Do I need to know how to do yoga?

Any age is fine to start and practice yoga retreats, and you will always benefit from that.

The yoga we teach is supposed to make  you feel good, relaxed, strong and stretched. You will most probably not end up as a yogini standing on one toe on some picturesque stone in the Ganges. But it should give you a new enjoyment of your body. And a soft sense of belonging in this miracle of life. We teach with a soft vigour and a healthy measure of laughter.  We will have fun. The beauty of our classes is that you will enjoy every benefit that an advanced student enjoys by practicing diligently through us.

I am experienced at yoga, will I be bored?

You  will be sent a questionnaire to fill in two weeks prior to your stay and we will carefully tailor the classes accordingly to each persons ability there are  numerous variations for each pose and you are invited to try these based on your level. There will be at no time any sense of waiting for others to catch up. Be assured of really engaging and fun classes throughout.

· Thank you so much for everything. The experience has turned my life around. It came at a time that I really needed inspiring and uplifting. And it has definately done that!! The yoga class was the best I ever done. The massage was the best I've ever had. The healthy food was the best I've ever tasted.  The house and grounds and views are beautiful. The dogs a delight.  Thank you Clover Nina and Mandy.  Just done my 15 min yoga and 5min meditation. I'm now off shopping for all my new healthy ingredients for cooking great food.  I am happy.  I believe and have the courage to improve.  I am grateful to have had this experience.  I love. X

From the beginning, when I was just  establishing and learning my foundational practice in Ashtanga Yoga,  Nina Gouveia was my teacher and mentor, and impacted me so profoundly  to learn from her  through her instruction, her inspiration, and through her and her life  as a living, breathing example of how I want to live, how life makes me  feel..through yoga, through ahimsa, through my diet and through metta  practice.
